Within the Buro 24/7 and Farfetch project
Buro Fashion Forward Initiative is a large-scale program which aims to find and support young and emerging fashion designers. This global project has been launched by Buro 24/7 team in 2014. During the years, 16 designers from Russia and CIS have created and presented special collections to the world's fashion society. This year was the first time when the borders were broaden and designers from all over the world took part in this project. The partner of the initiative is the global online fashion platform Farfetch.com which offers a selection of products from 880 best boutiques and brands from more than 40 countries.
This year Buro Fashion Forward Initiative pays tribute to the FIFA World Cup which takes place in Russia this summer. The capsule collection is based on the ideas of traditional types of football kit. Young designers presented their own vision of men's and women's sportswear, as well as unisex products and accessories.
Russian brand Jahnkoy was inspired by a traditional Russian shirt with a collar and embroidery. The designer of the brand Ienki Ienki (Ukraine) usually creates down jackets, but for this project he added a football jersey and a vest to the collection. DANSHAN (China) focused more on multi-coloured strips and ravines, Biro Company (Singapore) used colours of the Russian flag, Kris Goyri (Mexico) gave a modern look to a kit of Mexico 1986 football team with the use of lighter materials. Simple cut became a distinctive feature of retro-styled sportswear from the Brazilian designer À La Garçonne, and Sandra Mansour (Middle East) has complemented a collection with oversize models.
Online sales of capsule collections of the BFFI project are exclusively presented on Farfetch.com
